Correct Usage of Four-Stroke Gasoline Outboard Motor:
-
Ensure the motor is securely installed.
-
Add four-stroke gasoline engine oil to the crankcase according to the dipstick level.
-
Fill the fuel tank with an appropriate amount of high-grade pure gasoline.
-
Confirm that the kill switch is in the "on" position.
-
For cold start, first close the choke.
-
Pull the starter quickly to start the engine.
-
After preheating for about one minute, open the choke, and the motor will operate normally.
-
If the motor needs to be tilted during use, it must be shut down first before tilting.
-
Regularly check the oil consumption and replenish it in time. Afterwards, replace the oil approximately every 20 hours of use.
-
All motors undergo strict quality inspections before leaving the factory. Do not modify the motor's structure or performance without authorization, as this may cause varying degrees of damage to the motor and create safety hazards.Precautions for Using This Outboard Motor:**
1. The engine is drained of oil (lubricating oil) before leaving the factory. You need to add oil yourself before use; starting the engine without adding oil is strictly prohibited. Four-stroke engines operate under high temperatures, so the oil must be of the specified type—ordinary oil cannot be used as a substitute. Do not place the motor horizontally after adding oil, as horizontal placement may cause oil leakage. The running-in period is 10 hours, after which the lubricating oil must be replaced for the first time. The gear oil in the propeller area must also be replaced regularly.
2. When starting, push the choke in (to block air intake and increase the concentration of the air-fuel mixture). Once the motor is running normally, pull the choke out (to allow normal air-fuel mixture operation).
3. The idle speed has been adjusted before leaving the factory and generally does not need to be adjusted. The idle speed is adjusted via the black plastic screw on the carburetor.
